Recognition from Musiktheater im Revier

Nicolai Karnolsky opera singer Tell Rossini Gesler
The new season started more than successfully for me. In September I was honoured with the annual award of Musiktheater Gelsenkirchen, sponsored by Sparkasse. I’m really proud to bring this prize into my collection, together with the friendship of all the beautifull people and colleagues of this town and my “home” theatre.

The season opening was followed by the premiere of Rossini’s “Guillaume Tell”, produced by Andreas Baesler, under the guidance of Samuel Bächli. I think, it was interesting to disclose a new extreme character in the face of the evil Gesler.

Starring in Dublin, Ireland

The last professional experience for me was the guest-performance in Opera Ireland, Dublin. It was the first visit to this country for me and a possibility to make new frendships and contacts.
As we know, the legendary pubs and the beautiful nature are a trade mark for Ireland, but I had no much time to enjoy them….. Perhaps, just this time!

I was really impressed by the staff of Opera Ireland. In a period of time of just 5 weeks they realised 3 productions: “Die Zauberfl?te” by Mozart, “A Florentine Tragedy” by Zemlinsky and “Gianni Schicchi” by Puccini. Special thanks to Mr. Dieter Kaegi for making possible this project!
